NO MORE SNOW!
We have enjoyed the snow, as you can see in our blog, but it's time for the snow to go away. We have gotten to play in it a few times and have enjoyed how pretty it looks but I am sick of shoveling the steps, having school delays or cancellations, and the coldness. Where are you spring?! Please come soon!!

Play in the Snow: Part II

We went up to my stepdad's house this past weekend. I really wanted to go sledding in the back yard with Lilly. They have a good sized hill back there. I was afraid there wouldn't be any snow left but there was plenty. She would go down saying, "Weeeee!" Then when the sled would get to the bottom she would say, "Again!" Then we all took turns and rode down the hill with her. She would say, "Your turn."
We made a snowman too. Lilly kept saying, "Make Frosty the Snowman." She was helping her grandpa roll the snow into balls for the body. She would pick up little handfuls and pack them onto the snowman and say, "There." Once we had the body built my stepdad said we needed to find arms and went looking for sticks. Lilly looked at me and said, "Hat." I told her we would find a hat. Lilly had watched Frosty the Snowman numerous times during the Christmas season so she knew the snow man needed a hat. It was such a fun time or as my stepdad said, "That was good winter fun."

My thought for the week
I was just thinking the other day about how much things cost! I hate it! I'll go to the grocery store and spend $50 and feel like I barely bought anything. I saw this lady on the Today show who is called the Coupon Mom. She actually has a book out that tells of how she saved thousands a year on groceries. I have been looking at the sales every week and online coupons. I don't know if I'll save thousands but we'll see.
Play in the Snow: Part I
Lilly was wanting to play in the snow. Well, we got about 8 inches of snow so the backyard was a clean, fresh canvas just waiting for Lilly footprints and snow angels. Her favorite thing to do is eat the snow but she did make a few snow angels. She walked all the way to the end of the back yard. It was quite a journey for such a little girl! Especially with the deepness of the snow and the fact that her boots are like three sizes too big! She made it though, with some falls and great effort. She was saying, "Come on guys!" After the long journey, we filled up our hot cocoa machine with snow to make hot chocolate and went inside. How simple it was but great if felt! I get so happy sometimes doing fun things with Lilly because of how joyful she is and sometimes about nothing. She is easy to please and that is one reason, out of many, that I love my Lilly!
